All Abilities Camp Continues Great Tradition

11 young people ranging in age from six to 18 participated in the annual All Abilities Camp on July 11, 12 and 13, 2017.   Traditional activities included riding (of course!), crafts, stable management, and reading with teams from Idaho Therapy Dogs.  Campers also completed a sign to decorate the indoor arena.  The theme this year was each camper being an individual piece of a larger puzzle.

New to the schedule this year was a daily water game to beat the heat.  Participants worked together to complete the prescribed tasks while enjoying a cool down.

Camper smiles were seen throughout all three days, which delighted staff and volunteers.  One volunteer stated, “On my way [to the barn], I kept thinking about all of the things I needed to do and wished I hadn’t committed myself to volunteering.  But as soon as I got there, it all went away.  I forgot about all of it.”
