Veteran’s Program

veterans_smallRide for Joy Therapeutic Riding Program provides equine assisted activities to veterans and active duty service members in southwest Idaho and eastern Oregon who are seeking to improve their physical, mental and emotional well-being.

RFJ collaborates with local veterans’ organizations to provide services to those who have served our country.  With the use of horses, certified instructors and trained volunteers help riders learn and improve life-skills.  Benefits include increased strength and endurance, decreased anxiety, increased confidence, improved anger management skills, decreased stress levels, and re-integration into the community.
