Summer Session Slides to a Close

Southern Idaho’s blistering summer weather did not deter riders from trekking to the barn for horseback fun.  Summer session offered continued learning experiences for 16 riders, including two new veterans.

Just a few of many successes were a rider posting down the length of the arena for the first time, a non verbal rider saying “walk on,” and a rider with right side interference using her right hand to hold her reins.

Many riders learned to communicate with different horses as we introduced three new equines to the program.  The new horses showed exceptional responses to our riders and volunteers and many solid human/horse relationships have developed.

Staff and volunteers are excited to begin our final season of the year.  Fall session is sure to bring more successes and smiles.
