The first day I came to the program I absolutely fell in love with the children. I quickly found out that there is no job too small at Ride For Joy and that volunteers are always welcomed with open arms. The staff and volunteers at RFJ are absolutely amazing and you can see the enthusiasm in their eyes. I have found that the program is not only therapeutic for the children but also for me. When I am walking along side the horse and watching the children’s faces I tend to forget whatever tough things may be going on in my life. Since I started volunteering I have seen myself become more outgoing and have embraced new challenges that come my way with a better attitude than I did before.
