RFJ welcomes PATH Intl. presenters/evaluators Lindsey Jameson and Saebra Pipoly.
This workshop is for anyone interested in becoming a PATH Intl. Registered Instructor, or who would simply like to improve their therapeutic riding instruction skills. The purpose of this workshop is to provide participants with knowledge of the basic skills and information utilized by successful entry-level therapeutic riding instructors.
The two-and-a-half day workshop will cover such topics as teaching techniques, task analysis, class structure, lesson plans, various types of disabilities, horse analysis, equipment, mounting and dismounting, and volunteers. Participants will have the opportunity to synthesize and apply the knowledge in role-play situations and hands-on sessions. The workshop may be audited, but please note that auditing will not fulfill the requirements for registered instructor certification eligibility and auditors will not participate in hands-on activities.
Cost is $400 for workshop only, $350 for certification only or $700 for workshop and certification combined.
Auditing is available. Cost is $125 with a PATH manual or $100 without a manual. A $25 discount is offered for auditors with a current and valid student ID.
Fees are payable by check or online.
Limit of 30 workshop participants (no limit on auditors).
Breakfast, lunch and snacks will be provided to all attendees. Please indicate any dietary restrictions with the application.
