Field Trips

RFJ welcomes Special Education classes or other groups with disabilities to the barn for a half-day of educational fun!

Throughout the field trip, students will meet the RFJ herd, experience riding in a lesson with our certified instructors, and learn about a variety of topics relating to horses and horse care (e.g. breeds and colors, what horses eat, grooming, how horses communicate, tack and equipment for riding, etc.).

Groups are welcome to bring snacks and lunches to the barn.

Cost:

$200 for up to 8 participants

$300 for a group of 9-12 participants

$400 for a group of 13-16 participants

Please submit a Field Trip Application for each participant and a Medical Release Form for any participants who plan to ride.

Review Ride for Joy’s Participant Handbook here.

Applications for all participants need to be submitted to Ride for Joy at least two weeks prior to the field trip.

To schedule a field trip, please contact info@rideforjoy.org or call (208) 454-8894.
