Our Story
Since the 1990’s, Ride for Joy has provided adaptive riding to children and adults with disabilities in southwestern Idaho. The program received 501(c)(3) status in 2007. In 2014, Ride for Joy began offering equine-assisted services for veterans and military personnel.
AccrediTation
Ride for Joy is one of two centers in Idaho accredited by the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International, and it is the only PATH Intl. affiliated center in the Treasure Valley. Our program is uniquely equipped to support individuals with a wide range of abilities using accessible facilities and adaptive equipment, including a wheelchair lift. Our instructors are certified, and our horses and volunteers receive specialized training to provide safe and effective equine-assisted services.
