Are you passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities and veterans? Are you an experienced rider who enjoys sharing your love of horses with others? If so, becoming an instructor at Ride for Joy might be the opportunity that you’ve been waiting for.

RFJ’s instructor mentorship program prepares candidates to become PATH Intl. Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructors.

For those interested joining the RFJ team as an adaptive riding instructor, our center provides the training to become a PATH Intl. Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor (CTRI).

Candidates must have…

  • Availability to teach lessons on Tuesday and/or Wednesday.

  • Intermediate to advanced riding and horsemanship skills

  • High school diploma or GED (college coursework in teaching, therapy, or human services is preferred)

  • Interest in working with participants with disabilities and veterans

  • Interest in earning a PATH Intl. certification
